How do you find joy in your life? What awakens joy in you? Can experiences of stress, disappointments and obstacles be catalysts for you to search for joy? In this workshop you’ll have a chance to consider the quality of joy in your life.

There will be time to write notes in a journal in response to written prompts and questions concerning joy. You’ll be invited to explore your imagination as you consider the possibilities joy can offer in pursuing the quality of life you seek.

There will also be a short 25 minute documentary that takes the viewer on a journey into the lives of individuals of diverse ages, cultures, and occupations who offer their perspectives and experiences of joy. Throughout the workshop there will be time for conversation and ideas for cultivating joy on a regular basis.

Ray McGinnis is author of Writing The Sacred and has taught journal writing workshops across North America for the past 18 years. He lives in Vancouver.
