Party for the Love of Food: “World Cafe” and potluck

Sprouting Minds: for the Food Revolution is hosting a “World Café” type event on food systems and food sovereignty issues.

On the menu:

POTLUCK
Everyone loves food so bring your favourite homemade meal to share! We will have three legitimate prizes to grant to the best potluck meals, which you will get to vote on. Dishes will be voted for with the following values in mind: Seasonal, Ecological, Ethical, Unique, Locally-grown, All around fabulous & delicious!

You will have the opportunity to present information about your dish to your food-mates before the voting begins.

WOLRD CAFE:
Time will be allocated to share your food-related projects or ideas. It will be a fun opportunity to network and connect with fellow people who are passionate about the food movement. It will also be a platform for open discussion about food-related issues. We want to collectively change the paradigm towards more just food systems. For the success of the food movement it is essential that we collaborate, create partnerships and community.

SOME FOOD AND ALCOHOLIC & NON-ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WILL BE PROVIDED FOR FREE COURTESY OF US!

For those of you who don’t know us yet, Sprouting Minds: for the Food Revolution is a non-hierarchical collective in Montreal that promotes critical food systems thinking. Our activities involve the distribution of educational materials, presentations at universities and workshops with youth on the alternatives to capitalist, oppressive, and unsustainable food systems!
