We welcome a new partnership with Les Amis du Champ des Possibles to host a new event in the greenhouse – Botanical Drawing!

The evening will be an opportunity to learn or practice the basic techniques of illustration such as color mixing, application techniques and the basics of form drawing. Specimens of plants from the Champ des Possibles will also be at your disposal to enhance your sense of observation and representation in addition to the Concordia Greenhouse plant collection.

For this activity, we are pleased to collaborate with visual artist Andrea Williamson who will be with us to share her practical tips and inspire you with her botanical and wildlife illustrations of an impressive mastery. She recently graduated from the Fine Arts Masters of Goldsmiths University in London and now lives in Montreal where she is passionate about urban flora and fauna, and is particularly fond of the wild landscapes of the Champ des Possibles. http://www.andreawilliamson.com/staying-with-150/

We will have all the necessary equipment for the workshop (paper, paint, brushes), but you can also bring your own material. The activity is open to both insiders and newcomers. Young and old are invited to share this moment of learning, relaxation and creation.
