Universities are ideal incubators for developing sustainable food initiatives. Universities provide resources, educators, researchers, students, community partners and even offer food services on campus. The University Food Research Hub exists to connect researchers interested in food sovereignty, food justice, health, nutrition, and food security – especially related to university settings. The Hub meets bi-weekly to collaborate on research projects and to discuss selected readings. Each meeting, one member of the Hub leads a discussion about a reading they choose. Every meeting, we change facilitators.
If you are interested in participating, come to our meetings or contact us to receive e-mail updates about our meetings.
