Position Title: Hive Cafe Food Dispatcher (Delivery Driver)

Hours: 6-8 hours / week
Schedule: Sunday evening, from 4/5-7/8pm and Tuesday night from 5 – 7ish
Contract Dates: January 7th – May 1st 2018
Location: Concordia University SGW Campus and Loyola Campus

Salary : $70 PER DELIVERY

Mission of Hive Café Co-op
The mission of the Hive Cafe Co-op is to be a model food system at Concordia University that provides food through sustainable practices and empowers the student community.

General description:
The aim for this position is specifically to execute the smooth delivery of all supply orders for both of the cafes from the Hive Kitchen in a safe and timely manner, and is generally to aid in the smooth operating of the Cooperative.

Hive Dispatcher Responsibilities:
Responsible for proper use and care of Freight elevator key, access cards and Hive moving tools (such as dollies).
Security, organization and cleanliness of fridges/freezers in the Hive Kitchen (at Perform Centre).
Verifying accuracy of Mezz & Loyola & Catering Packing Slips.
Including special attention for any catering orders (check for special instructions, if any, frozen goods and where to find them and where to ship them).
Check that all refrigerated goods are present and accounted for according to the slips. Including special attention for any catering orders; ensure they are destined for the right location for pick-up.
Check-in and collaborate with KP and Receiver(s) when necessary; if they have questions regarding the order, items or location.
Catering Orders:
ensure the quantities, date and time corroborate with the Invoice slip and Equipment packing slip attached to order.
deliver to appropriate location
Moving stock for the daily requirements from kitchen to cafes;
Quality assurance for all food and beverages, in terms of Fridge/Freezer temperature, packaging and proper handling during transport.
Ensuring all food labels are in place in terms of bulk products for transport.
Delivery of catering items to Cafe X on weekly basis (?)
Ensuring the clean, consolidated and timely return of containers and other necessary items to KP.
Help suggest processes to better the food receival in collaboration with other worker-members.

Position Qualifications:
Valid Driver’s Licence with no moving violations.
Safe and operable vehicle.
Attention to detail regarding food quality and expiration dates.
Strong understanding of Packing Sheets.
Organization and cleanliness as priority
Strong understanding of Inventory rotation (first in, first out)
Emphasis on proper signage/display labels.
Great communication skills.
