In this workshop we will learn about canning, food safety. Canning is a food preservation method in which foods are processed then stored in hermetically sealed containers. Home canning is the process of packing fruits, vegetables, and meats into glass jars and heating the jars to eliminate spoilage and pathogenic organisms. Canning provides a shelf life ranging from 1 to 5 years.

If you still want to participate but cannot cover the cost of registration for any reason, please e-mail us to work out an alternative.

Workshops will be mainly given in English, mais nous encourageons les participantes a s’exprimer en francais.
